About The Position

This position involves completing opening and closing duties, which include setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, and locking doors. The role requires setting up, stocking, and maintaining work areas. Responsibilities include inputting orders into the cash register system, collecting payment, taking orders, recording them in the MICROS system, and preparing food and coffee beverages. The attendant will also ensure appliances like coffee makers are turned on/off at the appropriate times, bus coffee cart areas and tables, and clean dishes, utensils, work areas, tables, and equipment throughout the day. Obtaining the required change for expected business levels and managing the cash bank at the end of the shift, including completing cashier reports, resolving discrepancies, submitting receipts, and securing the bank, are also key duties. The role also requires adherence to company and safety policies, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions, completing safety training, maintaining a clean and professional appearance, protecting company assets, and providing excellent guest service by welcoming and acknowledging guests, anticipating their needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation. Communication with others should be clear and professional, and positive working relationships with team members should be developed and maintained to support common goals. Quality expectations and standards must be met. The job involves reading and visually verifying information, inspecting tools and equipment, and performing tasks that require standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. It also includes moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance, as well as manipulating objects with fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. The role may require moving through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, ascending and descending stairs or service ramps, and reaching overhead and below the knees, involving bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors may also be assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc.
  • Set up, stock, and maintain work areas.
  • Input orders into cash register system and collect payment from customer.
  • Take orders, record in MICROS system and prepare food and coffee beverages.
  • Ensure that appliances (e.g., coffee makers) are turned on/off at the appropriate times.
  • Bus coffee cart areas and tables.
  • Clean dishes, utensils, work areas, tables and equipment throughout the day.
  • Obtain change required for expected business level.
  • Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
