About The Position

We are looking for a BESS Project Manger. You will lead advanced technical, financial, and regulatory planning for utility‑scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from early development through construction readiness. You will be located in Juno Beach, FL with occasional travel required. You will report to the onsite manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on engineering, economics, or construction.
  • Technical experience with renewable energy projects, electricity markets, renewables, and battery projects.
  • Advanced Excel skills and excellent project management, communication, financial, and analytical abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Six Sigma experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead advanced pre‑construction planning and optimization for utility‑scale BESS projects, integrating engineering design, financial modeling, procurement strategy, and regulatory constraints to support executive investment decisions.
  • Manage critical coordination of matrixed project development teams to ensure resources are focused on the right activities to meet project schedules.
  • Coordinate with environmental, regulatory, cultural, land acquisition, interconnection, and other project variables to ensure comprehensive project development.
  • Develop and improve the project's technical scope and variables to improve both technical and financial feasibility.
  • Support origination and development teams with PPA and GIA negotiations, as well as jurisdictional requirements.
  • Coordinate engineering, estimating, and procurement needs to help develop financial models and project designs.
  • Present financial models to respective teams and manage them through executive budget approvals.
  • Competitively source, negotiate, and implement commercial contracts for critical services, including geotechnical, survey, engineering, and EPC/PC construction services.
  • Represent E&C's interests on assigned projects and participate in multiple software applications to support activities, manage critical data, and report on main indicators.
  • Communicate and work with Executive Leadership, Suppliers, Regulatory Agencies, Local Communities, and other team members.
  • Present project progress and risk mitigation strategies in meetings with several levels of management.
  • Ensure seamless handover of projects moving to the Construction stage to the Construction Project Manager with an inclusive and executable construction plan.
