  • Offer long-term design and optimization support for BESS systems throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Create, update, and utilize electrical engineering calculation tools.
  • Collaborate with Estimating, Procurement, Project Management, and Field teams to support design development and optimization.
  • Guide AutoCAD designers in producing accurate BESS site layouts, single-line diagrams, and other technical drawings.
  • Maintain and enhance a database of equipment used in BESS design.
  • Support the development of construction details and Bills of Materials for various project work packages.
  • Lead the design process from conceptual through to constructible stages across multiple BESS projects.
  • Review utility interconnection documents, including facility studies, interconnection agreements, and power purchase agreements.
  • Apply engineering principles to optimize costs for utility-scale BESS systems and maintain design matrices for future use.
  • Provide engineering support to Procurement and Operations teams for awarded projects.
  • Utilize company-approved tools and communication methods to ensure efficient collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Improve workflow processes across engineering, procurement, scheduling, and project controls.
  • Analyze historical project data and assist with material forecasting for upcoming BESS projects.
