This role focuses on providing medical and clinical support services to patients. In addition, this role focuses on performing the following Medical/Behavioral Health duties: Provides behavioral evaluation services to patients and are specialized in the evaluation and treatment of mental, emotional, and/or behavioral issues. A professional individual contributor role that may direct the work of other lower level professionals or manage processes and programs. The majority of time is spent overseeing the design, implementation or delivery of processes, programs and policies using specialized knowledge and skills typically acquired through advanced education. A senior level role that requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Typically responsible for: managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision, coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals, resolving difficult and sometimes complex problems. This position provides support to grieving families and individuals who have recently lost a loved one while they were treated at the hospital. Helps to improve, restore, and maintain the maximum level of coping by those directly impacted from a loss. This position will primarily utilize community resources and an internal interdisciplinary team of caregivers to offer resources commensurate with the needs of those dealing with complicated grief.
