The coordinator also provides bereavement information and referral services to community callers, maintaining an updated community resource list. Additionally, the position supports hospice personnel by providing one-to-one counseling for work-related grief, supervising interns, and referring staff to community resources. The role includes participation in hospice activities, quality improvement teams, and assisting in planning services for hospice personnel support needs, such as retreats and support groups. The Bereavement Coordinator functions independently but collaborates with the interdisciplinary group and community members.
