As a Benefits Specialist, you will provide supervision for research and analysis, clerical tasks, the implementation of benefits programs and policies, and other activities associated with the organization's employee benefits. Apply specific functional knowledge; working/general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources
  • 3+ years of experience with Benefits, Benefits Open enrollment and analyzation
  • Experience with a human resources information system (HRIS)
  • Experience with Microsoft office suite at a proficient level
  • Ability to connect with all levels within the organization to foster a collaborative work environment
  • Ability to plan, prioritize responsibilities, meet deadlines, and work well with competing demands
  • Ability to work with a team to establish and maintain operational practices and programs
  • Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, employee relations, onboarding and exit processes, and leave of absence; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, labor relations, organizational development, business or related area, or a HS Diploma and 9+ years of experience in Human Resources and Benefits

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Paylocity, iCIMS, and/or Deltek
  • Experience within the Intel Community and/or DoD industry experience and hiring highly cleared candidates
  • Ability to be a self-starter with excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize competing duties
  • Ability to be a systems thinker, suggesting ways to simplify or improve processes
  • Ability to be a quick learner with a technical aptitude to navigate and utilize our tools and systems
  • Possession of positive energy/attitude and willingness to jump in where necessary
  • Possession of effective verbal and written communication skills
