About The Position

Reporting to the Deputy Director for Portfolio Management & Insights, we are seeking an organised, proactive and influential leader for the Benefits, Outcomes & Performance Team. This team provides performance and management control of the FCERM Investment programme. You will lead programme level performance reporting, focusing on spend, outcomes and benefits realisation. You will support senior leaders with timely, evidence-based recommendations to achieve efficient delivery to time, cost and quality that maintains programme stability. You will set and maintain high standards for data quality and reporting, bringing together information from project management and finance systems to provide trustworthy and reliable insights. You and your team will be the authoritative voice on data and reporting for the FCERM Investment Programme. The role requires effective partnership working with Environment Agency Area Programme Teams and Project and Programme Delivery Teams, and Defra Finance, Policy and Portfolio functions. You will also lead responses to Parliamentary Questions, Environmental Information Regulations requests and Freedom of Information requests. You will bring effective leadership, analytical capability and excellent communication skills. You will be confident interpreting complex financial and performance data and be able to present clear, accessible insights for senior stakeholders. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working collaboratively and be motivated by improving outcomes for communities at flood and coastal risk.
