About The Position

Administer and oversee employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, retirement, and wellness offerings. Coordinate annual open enrollment with benefits brokers, including employee communication and materials. Process benefit enrollments, changes, terminations, and qualifying life events in a timely and accurate manner. Serve as primary point of contact for employee benefit inquiries and issue resolution. Partner with benefit brokers and vendors to ensure effective service delivery and program administration. Maintain accurate benefit records and ensure data integrity within HRIS and payroll systems. Regularly audit benefit invoices and assist with reconciliation and reporting processes. Administer and track employee leave of absences, including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA accommodations, paid family leave, military leave, and other protected leaves. Manage leave requests, certifications, communications, and status tracking. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws and regulations. Maintain confidential and accurate leave records and reporting. Coordinate return-to-work processes and maintain appropriate documentation for accommodations outside of worker’s compensation claims. Administer, serve as main point of contact for, and maintain the YUSA Learning Hub courses for the Association. Monitor and ensure completion of required compliance and professional development training for supervisory and leadership staff. Support onboarding and new employee orientation processes, including assignment of required trainings and onboarding checklist upkeep for all staff in HRIS system. Coordinate training schedules, registrations, and learning resources for all supervisors and YUSA courses. Generate reports on training completion, compliance status, and development initiatives. Assist in the development and implementation of employee learning and development programs. Respond to employee inquiries related to benefits, leave, training, and HR programs.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Knowledge of State and Federal HR laws
  • Complete required certifications within 60 days of hire
  • Complete all required Branch and Position specific trainings as required within two weeks of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; related work experience may offset degree requirement
  • 2+ years’ previous work-related experience preferred
  • PHR/SPHR Certification preferred
