The Benefits Analyst supports the administration and analysis of employee health and welfare benefit programs, including assisting with the implementation of plans, programs, policies, and procedures. This role helps ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while supporting employee benefit communications and responding to employee inquiries. Additionally, the role assists with key processes such as open enrollment, audits, and benefit changes to ensure accuracy and a positive employee experience. This role also supports the administration of leaves and accommodations under the direction of the Senior Benefits Analyst, helping ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Performs clerical and administrative tasks related to leave processing, including assisting with employee timecard coding for leaves. Provides day-to-day support to employees and managers by answering questions and guiding them through leave and accommodation processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related area, or In lieu of education, 4 years of benefits experience

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the development of employee benefit communications, including creating and editing materials, email campaigns and internal newsletters.
  • Assists with updating and maintaining the employee total rewards website to ensure accurate and timely information, including creating new content and updating existing information.
  • Responds to employee questions and provide backup support to the HR Solutions Center as needed.
  • Reviews benefit changes in Workday and approve them according to established rules and policies as needed.
  • Performs routine compliance audits and tasks to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Administers HIPAA compliance training for applicable roles and track attendance.
  • Performs routine audits to ensure employee benefit records are up-to-date and accurate, including identifying and resolving data discrepancies within Workday and with insurance carriers and vendors.
  • Assists with the timely and accurate completion of annual benefit surveys.
  • Provides support with the annual open enrollment cycle, including assisting with the development of communication materials, responding to employee questions and processing enrollment changes.
  • Compiles and distributes annual notice packets.
  • Assists in reviewing plan documents for accuracy, including summary plan descriptions and other related materials.
  • Participates in the annual strategy evaluation of the company’s benefits program, review utilization and identify areas of improvement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
