About The Position

The Benefits Analyst is a key contributor within the Benefits Team. This role is responsible for supporting the administration, reporting, analysis, and reconciliation of benefits and leave programs. This role partners closely with HR Directors, General Managers, Payroll, HRIS, and external vendors to develop accurate and meaningful operational reporting, identify trends, resolve data discrepancies, recommend fixes and automate processes as well as support compliance. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, advanced in Excel, comfortable working with large datasets, and able to independently navigate vendor reporting platforms to build actionable reporting solutions. The position is located at corporate offices in Warrenville, IL (Hybrid work schedule – 2 days in office per week)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
  • 5-8 years of experience in benefits administration, leave administration, HR operations, reporting or data analysis.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion, ADP, AbsenceSoft, Benefit Focus.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, data validation and reconciliation, and Power Query.
  • Knowledge of leave laws and regulations and HR/benefits laws, including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA and ADA.
  • Experience working with HRIS, payroll, benefits, and/or leave vendor systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer focus.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail.
  • Able to effectively handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing and maintaining all benefit data files, ensuring accuracy, error resolution and timely delivery.
  • Partner with Payroll and HRIS to support reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and audit requests related to associate benefits.
  • Extract, manipulate, validate, and reconcile data from multiple vendor systems and internal platforms.
  • Collect, compile, and analyze data to make recommendations.
  • Leads the execution of the ACA process including hours measurement and coverage offers on a monthly and annual basis as well as working with benefit enrollment vendor to test, communicate, and distribute Form 1095 and file ACA forms with the IRS.
  • Works with external auditors to complete 401(k) audit and prepare 5500.
  • Supports the execution of the Annual Enrollment process.
  • Collaborates with benefits and leave vendors to understand available reporting functionality and troubleshoot reporting issues.
  • Assists with vendor implementations as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
