About The Position

As a Benefit Analyst II, you will assist with administering various employee benefits, including but not limited to insurance (medical, dental, vision, life, etc.), 401(k) retirement plan, and the leave of absence programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business/human resources or related field preferred. Benefits administration experience instead of education will be considered.
  • Experience in FMLA administration.
  • Experience in the Microsoft suites; Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HRIS/benefits administration systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external vendors.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer.
  • Occasional lifting of files or materials up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to maintain focus and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Periodic visits to manufacturing areas with exposure to seasonal temperatures, dust, and industrial noise.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures accuracy of all benefits enrollment for employees.
  • Assists with the open enrollment process.
  • Works with insurance carriers, benefits providers, and other vendors to ensure smooth program administration.
  • Interpret and explain the benefits package to new hires and provides ongoing education to employees about changes in the plans, coverage details, and eligibility criteria.
  • Monitors benefits questions in Workday under the Help feature, walk-ins and the internal Benefits inbox.
  • Assists in developing and presenting training and communication materials on benefits plans and programs.
  • Administers benefit and leave policies, including Oregon paid leave, FMLA, short-term disability, long term disability, paid parental leave and paid military leave.
  • Provides excellent customer service to employees, responding to inquiries, and resolving any issues related to benefits.
  • Answers complex benefit-related questions.
  • Stays up to date with legislation, regulations, laws, and trends surrounding employee benefits.
  • Maintains employee benefit profiles in Workday.
  • Coordinates lunch and learns and other company events that are related to benefits.
  • Processes medical support orders.
  • Performs additional duties and projects as needed.
