The Benefits Administrator is responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, voluntary coverages, 401(k) plan, and workers compensation. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information. Assists with scheduling new-hire benefit orientations. Processes benefit-related invoices including allocation of charges. Performs quality checks of benefits-related data. Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes. Distributes all benefits enrollment materials. Assists with benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries. Assists in administration of leave-of-absence requests and accommodation requests. Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. Manages 401k(k) contribution changes in HRIS. Assists with the open enrollment process. Opens workers compensation claims and sends related information to team member. Other projects as required. Requirements and Skills The Benefits Administrator is often the first point of contact for team members regarding benefits-related matters and plays a crucial role in maintaining a positive and efficient work environment. Adaptability, attention to detail, and strong communication skills are key attributes for success in this role. Detail Oriented with proven organizational abilities. Strong technical foundation and ability to learn and apply new technology/processes. Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). Experience with Dayforce a plus. Understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws. Prior experience working with benefit vendors. Proficiency in MS Office applications. High proficiency in Excel a plus. Strong critical thinking skills and good ethical judgment paired with the ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
