About The Position

The Benefits Administrator is responsible for coordination, administration, and support of the Bank’s employee benefits programs. This role ensures the accurate processing of benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations while providing service to employees. The Benefit Administrator works closely with insurance carriers, third-party administrators, payroll, and the rest of the HR team to ensure compliance with appliable laws, maintain accurate records, and support the Bank’s commitment to offering competitive and effective employee benefit programs.

Responsibilities

  • Administer all employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life/disability, flexible spending accounts (FSA), health savings accounts (HSA), retirement plans, and voluntary benefits.
  • Process employee benefit enrollments, qualifying life event changes, terminations, and annual open enrollment activities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefit eligibility, coverage, claims, and enrollment questions.
  • Maintain accurate employee benefit records within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and vendor portals.
  • Coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate benefit deductions and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assist with the planning, communication, and execution of the annual open enrollment process.
  • Partner with benefit carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators to resolve employee issues and administer benefit programs effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, including COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, ERISA, FMLA, and other employment-related laws affecting employee benefits.
  • Coordinate and administer all employee leave programs
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information and sensitive benefit records.
  • Assist with employee orientation by presenting benefit information to new hires.
  • Develop and maintain benefit communication materials, policies, and educational resources.
