About The Position

The Bender Shear Operator is a key position at Jensen Infrastructure. You will be creating steel cages based on production drawings while working in the production facility. The structural integrity and quality of our products depends on you doing your job correctly. Reporting to our Production Supervisor, you’ll primarily work with the cage fabrication, quality control and production teams. A highlight of your day-to-day will include: Manufacturing rebar material for precast reinforcing cages within specific tolerances using the rebar bender and shear. Packaging steel reinforcing for transport to cage department. Utilizing time effectively and organizing day with fluctuating schedules; Bender Shear Operator must be 1 Day ahead of Cage department schedule. Understanding Just-In-Time (JIT) and having the right materials ready for the next day’s tasks. Identifying size of mesh, rebar and or/cages based on rebar cage drawings; cutting pieces of rebar and/or mesh into appropriate sizes to assemble cages per drawings by utilizing bender shear; bending rebar and steel to appropriate angles and dimensions per drawings.
