About The Position

The bend associate position operates machines to fabricate parts. Loads parts in the machine, cycle machine and detects malfunctions in machine operations. The position runs production lots, communicate with co-workers regarding production runs, and maintains a safe, organized and clean work environment.

Reads job specifications such as blueprints, calipers, and measurements
Determines machine adjustments and material requirements
Determines appropriate equipment and methods based on requirements
Sets up, adjusts and operates machinery and equipment
Maintains equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
Ensures work is done safely, consistently and meets quality standards
Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunctions
Checks parts to drawing specifications and tolerance using proper measurement and inspection equipment
Determines accuracy of machine operation
Inspects end product from fabrication operations to ensure accuracy and discover flaws
Identifies, tags and removes non-conforming materials
Accurately completes all required paperwork in a timely manner
Communicates with other departments as necessary
Keeps work areas clean and organized
Adheres to all company rules and policies

Responsibilities

Performs all assigned machine operations
Read job specifications such as blueprints, calipers, and measurements to determine machine adjustments and material requirements

Set up, adjust and operate machinery and equipment to fabricate parts to specifications
Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
