About The Position

TAT Technologies is a growing provider of aerospace thermal management, power and actuation products, and repair services. The Tulsa site is the company's Center of Excellence for heat transfer manufacturing, MRO, and OEM solutions. The Bench Mechanic is responsible for the assembly, testing, inspection, repair, and overhaul of heat exchangers, aircraft components, parts, and tooling in accordance with company, customer, FAA, EASA, and quality requirements. This position plays a key role in maintaining production schedules, ensuring quality standards, and supporting a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair heat exchangers, components, parts, and tooling.
  • Perform disassembly, cleaning, inspection, rework, and overhaul activities as required.
  • Read and interpret maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, engineering drawings, technical specifications, and repair documentation to determine appropriate repair methods and procedures.
  • Replace, repair, and assemble component parts using hand tools, pneumatic tools, specialized equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Complete work orders, travelers, bills of materials (BOMs), and ERP system transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Operate, maintain, and service specialized maintenance and production equipment.
  • Maintain material readiness and accountability for parts, tooling, and maintenance-related inventory.
  • Support maintenance planning activities through accurate documentation and electronic maintenance tracking systems.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in both electronic and hard-copy formats.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, FAA regulations, Repair Station requirements, ISO standards, and quality management systems.
  • Practice proper tool control, Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention, and 5S workplace organization standards.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas and equipment.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members while demonstrating the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Responsible for the assembly, testing, and travelers related to heat exchangers, components, parts, and tools.
  • Secondary responsibilities consist of disassembly, cleaning, analytical inspection, reworking schemes, detailing and other duties as assigned.
  • Read and interprets maintenance manuals, or other technical data to determine the feasibility and method to perform the assigned task.
  • Replaces or Repairs damaged or work component parts using general hand tools, special tools, pneumatic and precision measuring equipment. Assembles components with same tools and equipment.
  • Maintains work areas and tools in a clean and organized manner, practices proper tool and FOD control. (5S)
  • Accurately and efficiently completes work orders, BOMS, data inputs within ERP systems.
  • Reads and understands Commercial, FAA, EASA, Repair Station and ISO documentations and other related manuals.
  • Operates and maintains/services specialized equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
