About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bench Jeweler / Goldsmith to join our esteemed Gems & Jewelry team. This role is critical in transforming raw materials and design concepts into exquisite, precision-crafted jewelry pieces that reflect our brand’s commitment to excellence, craftsmanship, and timeless beauty. As a Bench Jeweler, you will play a central role in the creation, repair, and finishing of fine jewelry, ensuring each piece meets the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and artistry. The incumbent will be responsible for the professional manufacturing, repair, and finishing of jewelry, ensuring each piece meets the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and artistry, to achieve customer satisfaction and maintain the brand's reputation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Bench Jeweler or Goldsmith in a high-end jewelry environment (minimum 3 years of experience).
  • Proficiency in handcrafting techniques including forging, soldering, stone setting, and polishing.
  • Strong understanding of precious metals (gold, platinum, silver) and gemstone characteristics.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical jewelry blueprints, CAD models, and design sketches.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, precision, and craftsmanship.
  • Knowledge of industry standards for quality, safety, and ethical sourcing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on evolving jewelry trends and techniques.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with jewelry CAD/CAM software (e.g., Matrix, Rhino, or similar) is a plus.
  • Valid certification or formal training in jewelry making (e.g., from a recognized vocational or technical institute) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and fabricate custom and production jewelry pieces using gold, platinum, silver, and other precious metals.
  • Perform precise metalworking techniques including casting, filing, polishing, soldering, and shaping.
  • Set gemstones with accuracy and care, including prong, bezel, pave, channel, and flush settings.
  • Repair, refurbish, and restore existing jewelry pieces to original condition.
  • Interpret technical drawings, sketches, and CAD designs to translate them into physical jewelry.
  • Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with designers, sales teams, and quality control to meet project timelines and client expectations.
  • Adhere to strict quality control standards and industry best practices throughout the production process.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, workplace hygiene, and ethical sourcing standards.
  • Document work progress, material usage, and any deviations for internal tracking and audit purposes.
