About The Position

A Bench Inspector is responsible for sorting and visually inspecting all parts for defects. This role involves following company policies and procedures related to the DNI quality system, using sizing screens to sort products, and visually inspecting samples under magnification for defects. The inspector will also enter inspection data into production reporting software and manage rejected/scrap materials.

Requirements

  • Be motivated, self-starting with ability, mannerism, and attitude that enables one to work closely with other team members for a common goal.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Be able to orient Components on Inspection Boards for visual inspection.

Responsibilities

  • Follows company policies and procedures with regard to the DNI quality System as they apply to role responsibilities.
  • Chooses high and low size sorting screens based on print dimensions (pull print from file as necessary to confirm dimensional requirements).
  • Sort products by using sizing screens by placing small quantities of parts and shaking to allow proper orientation within screen.
  • Separate both accepted and rejected product into appropriate bins at inspection station.
  • Visually inspects at least 3 board samples (both face and under head) under magnification to ensure no visual defects or workmanship issues are found.
  • Enters inspection data into production reporting software system.
  • Places rejected/scrap into proper designated scrap container.
