About The Position

NACG is looking for a Bench Hand to work in our maintenance facility in Acheson. The successful candidate must be well-organized and prioritize safety. Requirements

Knowledge about maintenance, and a general knowledge of mechanical aspects or equivalent work experience
High school diploma
Must have valid class 5 driver's license
Effective interpersonal skills
Always demonstrate safety
Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
Basic computer literacy/skills
Provide a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and a recent Driver’s Abstract
Undergo and successfully pass the following pre-employment testing: Breath Alcohol Test, Urine Drug Test, Fitness-to-Work Assessment, Audiometric Testing, Vision Screening, Criminal Record Check

Responsibilities

Move tools, materials, parts, components and materials to and from work areas
Fuels, greases/lubing and services heavy equipment
Performs preventative maintenance including but not limited to tire changes and oil filter changes
Assist journeyman with minor repairs and maintenance of equipment
Washing/cleaning and preparing heavy equipment
Painting & Sandblasting equipment components
Acts as a spotter for heavy equipment
Provides general clean up and ongoing monitoring and maintenance of work area
Teardown of equipment and components
Undercarriage rebuilds
