As a Bench Equipment Engineer, you'll be a pivotal part of our high-reaching team in Boise, ID, driving world-class manufacturing operations support. As a Bench Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for the defining the business process around cleaning, repair, rebuild, and testing of process equipment subassemblies. Collaborating closely with the process area equipment staff and other bench team members, you will ensure high-quality and timely subassembly cleaning, repair, and rebuilds along with maintenance and repair of all bench area related equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Manufacturing.
  • More than 5 years’ experience in engineering with mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience as a Bench Engineer strong preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills driving and informing projects and programs to improve Fab Operational Support.
  • Outstanding ability to coordinate across multiple teams and juggle various projects.
  • Proven ability in leading cross-functional continuous-improvement initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field, or a minimum of 6 years of equivalent engineering experience.
  • Experience developing and maintaining semiconductor fabrication support areas
  • Proven ability to partner with various departments to deploy standards and remove execution barriers.
  • Knowledge of AI and its application to improve speed of execution or experience and/or interest in developing Agentic AI workflows into current or future processes.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, repair, troubleshoot, rebuild, and test semiconductor equipment subassemblies.
  • Document completed work in the equipment tracking program with precision.
  • Develop and update detailed technical procedures related to supported subassemblies.
  • Complete failure analysis and reports for subassemblies not meeting expected performance.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and area work rules, including proper PPE, lockout, and chemical safety protocols.
  • Incorporate and leverage AI to facilitate speed of execution.
