About The Position

Acromil, LLC, established in 1959 in City of Industry, CA, is a primary supplier of complex structural components and assemblies to the Commercial and Defense Aerospace Industries. The company is committed to delivering high-quality products on time and at competitive prices, fostering a culture of integrity and pride. In September 2018, Acromil expanded its operations by acquiring a similar business in Corona, CA, resulting in a total footprint of 200,000 square feet, with the goal of becoming a World Class Supplier. The Bench Deburr Machinist will be responsible for evaluating products for visual defects and burrs, removing burrs using established tooling and machines, and identifying and segregating defective products. This role requires the ability to operate basic machinery, such as cleaning and deburring equipment, under minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • 5 years related work experience in an Aerospace Manufacturing environment performing similar duties.
  • Must be an United States (US) Person as defined by ITAR Regulations (a citizen of the United States, a lawful permanent resident alien of the US, a "Green Card" holder, a refugee or someone in the USA as a protected political asylee or under amnesty).
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Scan product to ensure compliance with established standards (i.e. engineering drawing, operating procedures, blue prints, etc). Check for missing or damaged features, poor finishes, excessive burrs, etc.
  • Deburr product as needed with established tooling and/or machines.
  • Perform any rework tasks as assigned (i.e. polishing, sorting).
  • Support team environment including any cell manufacturing tasks that are needed.
  • Ensure that all documentation is in order (part number, revision, etc) and is kept at the workstation. Enter data on production documents regarding quantity produced, hours worked, etc.
  • Perform general housekeeping in work areas (i.e. organize and clean work surfaces, etc).
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by Management.
