URGENTLY HIRING: Belt Technician
About The Position
This is a temporary assignment for a Belt Technician for 3 months, with a possibility of extension. The role involves setting up and operating tools and equipment for conveyor belt and rubber splicing (hot vulcanizing). The technician will be responsible for checking and monitoring product quality, preparing rubber materials, operating machinery to shape and assemble rubber products, and inspecting finished goods for defects. Minor repairs and adjustments to products and machinery are also part of the duties. The position requires the ability to work occasional Saturdays.

Responsibilities
- Set up and operate tools/equipment for conveyor belt and rubber splicing (hot vulcanizing)
- Check and monitor product quality
- Lay out and prepare rubber materials for assembly
- Operate machines or equipment to cut, shape, splice, fit and cement rubber materials to form rubber parts or finished rubber products
- Operate finishing machines or equipment to trim, grind or buff rubber products into final form
- Inspect finished rubber products for defects and conformance to specifications and quality standards
- Make minor adjustments or repairs to products
- Adjusting machinery and equipment to proper settings
