About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Belt Press Operator / Equipment Operator to support dewatering operations at multiple job sites throughout the Houston area. This position is responsible for safely operating, monitoring, cleaning, and maintaining belt presses, centrifuges, pumps, dump trucks, and related equipment. The operator will adjust equipment settings to maintain consistent production, troubleshoot operational issues, complete preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with all environmental and workplace safety requirements. This is a hands-on outdoor position requiring mechanical ability, attention to detail, and flexibility to work at different Houston-area locations. Candidates must have previous belt press operating experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous belt press operating experience is required.
  • Experience operating industrial machinery.
  • Basic mechanical and preventive maintenance skills.
  • Experience using basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to maintain accurate production and equipment records.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between Houston-area job sites.
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended shifts in changing weather conditions.
  • Ability to work Monday through Saturday, approximately 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating centrifuges, pumps, or dump trucks.
  • Experience in wastewater treatment, sludge dewatering, environmental services, or a related industry.
  • Certification in industrial machinery operation or a related field.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety regulations and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Experience performing routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate belt presses, centrifuges, pumps, dump trucks, and other site equipment.
  • Adjust polymer dosing, belt speed and pressure, and sludge feed rates to optimize performance.
  • Monitor the dewatering process and make adjustments to maintain production quality and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and processing issues.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Clean belt press equipment, tools, work areas, and surrounding job sites.
  • Operate additional pumps and supporting equipment as required.
  • Maintain accurate production, maintenance, and operational logs.
  • Follow all company safety policies and environmental regulations.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, and production problems promptly.
  • Travel between three to four job sites throughout the Houston area.
  • Accept reassignment to different Houston-area job sites based on operational needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
