Bellperson - Part Time
About The Position
The Pfister Hotel is seeking a Part-Time Bellperson to join their team and uphold the hotel's iconic legacy of gracious service and impeccable style. This role involves warmly welcoming guests, assisting with luggage, providing information, and ensuring a memorable first and last impression. The Bellperson will also assist with transportation needs, maintain the cleanliness of public areas, and collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure an outstanding guest experience. The Pfister Hotel, built in 1893, is a luxury hotel in downtown Milwaukee with over 130 years of history and has maintained AAA Four Diamond hotel status for over 50 consecutive years.
Requirements
- Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional guest service with a professional, friendly, and hospitality-focused demeanor.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests, associates, and business partners.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull luggage and other items weighing up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and work both indoors and outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as required in a 24/7 luxury hotel environment.
Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and departure, providing exceptional service while assisting with luggage, directions, and hotel information to create a memorable first and last impression.
- Escort guests to their rooms, explain hotel amenities and services, and ensure a seamless and personalized arrival experience.
- Assist with transportation needs, including coordinating valet services, arranging taxis or rideshare transportation, and providing local recommendations and concierge-style support.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and professional appearance of lobby, entrance, and guest service areas while upholding The Pfister Hotel's luxury hospitality standards.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and collaborate with Front Desk, Concierge, and Valet teams to ensure an outstanding guest experience and resolve concerns efficiently.
