About The Position

The Bellman is responsible for carrying luggage to guest rooms and handling baggage for tour groups. This role serves as a welcome ambassador for all who enter the hotel lobby, requiring knowledge of all hotel amenities to communicate effectively with guests. The Bellman may also assist in maintaining the concierge's desk in the absence of the bell captain or concierge, and must always uphold Leading Hotels of the World and Forbes Travel Standards. Additionally, the Bellman will cover the doorman's position in their absence, assist guests with luggage during check-out, store luggage for late departure guests, and fulfill any other guest requirements. This position may also involve assisting in other areas of the hotel as needed to support operations, even if those duties are not explicitly listed in this description.

Requirements

High School Diploma
Ability to communicate, both verbally and written, effectively with guests, vendors and co-workers
Must read, write and speak the English language fluently
Strong Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Excel
Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Hotel experience desired
Knowledge of Spanish helpful
