Requirements

  • Hold a 2:1 or 1st Class degree from a top 30 UK university
  • Calm, resilient, and empathetic demeanour
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Genuine vocation for supporting young people to make positive choices
  • Legal right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous child-centred experience working with young people with behavioural or emotional needs in a UK school or educational setting

Responsibilities

  • Providing targeted 1:1 and small-group mentoring to pupils across secondary and sixth form with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties
  • Working closely with teachers, the SENDCO, and the pastoral team to implement and regularly review individual behaviour support plans
  • Supporting pupils through de-escalation, restorative conversations, and reintegration following incidents or periods of absence
  • Maintaining detailed records of pupil progress, behaviour patterns, and intervention outcomes to inform wider school support strategies
  • Building consistent, trusted, long-term relationships with pupils and families that underpin genuine and lasting behavioural change
