The Behavior Therapist provides individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, behavior management, functional behavioral analysis, annual psychology reviews, and other psychological services to people supported, ages ranging from young adults to older adults with developmental disabilities. The Behavior Therapist provides professional services to ensure that development, direction, revision, and approval of behavioral programs are taking place in the best interest of the person being supported. Behavior Therapists also work with an interdisciplinary treatment team to monitor programs and services offered to their caseload by keeping close contact with people supported and staff, providing feedback to staff, and attending any professional consultations and special team meetings. Assess patient's behavioral patterns, diagnose mental health disorders, adjust patient treatment plans as needed, meet with other members of the team to discuss patients and treatment plans. The Behavior Therapist delivers on-call assistance to team members supporting clients during mental health crises, offering timely support and guidance. This is a rotating On-Call schedule alongside other mental health clinicians. This is a full-time salaried position with an expectation of 40 hours per week on the campus of SDDC. The typical working schedule is Monday-Friday, 8.00AM - 4.30PM, although an alternative work schedule may be arranged at the discretion of the administrative supervisor.
