About The Position

BAYADA Behavioral Health is seeking individuals to start a career and shape futures as a Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT). This role is ideal for recent graduates, Paraprofessionals, Skills Trainers, Educational Assistants (EA), and anyone interested in working with individuals with Autism and other Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (IDDs). You will begin as a Behavior Technician Trainee and, through the BAYADA RBT Academy, become a certified RBT in just a few weeks. The RBT Academy offers comprehensive training grounded in evidence-based practices, including web-based courses, hands-on training, structured observation, and study guides to prepare for the RBT exam.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree OR 48 college credits including Math 100 and English 100 OR a High School Diploma/GED with Passage of the ParaPro Praxis assessment (BAYADA assistance available)
  • No experience necessary
  • Complete RBT Academy and pass the RBT Exam to become an RBT with BAYADA

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with students in the classroom, following the established service plan
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients and school teams
  • Respect the values, thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes of clients and families
  • Implement behavior therapy techniques and collaborate with teachers to support the student in the classroom environment
  • Document interventions and progress towards goals
  • Collect behavior data as specified in client behavior plan
  • Provide training, instruction, and assistance to help the student acquire and maintain skills and meet identified goals
  • Provide support to the client in interpersonal skills, development, and maintenance of personal relationships, and building independence in their school routine
  • Supports school age children to succeed with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
