About The Position

Community Reach Center is seeking a Behavioral Technician for their Empowerment Center for Adolescents (ECA) within the Youth Services Department. This role is crucial in providing direct behavioral management, facilitating psychoeducational groups, and supporting family reunification. The Behavioral Technician will work within a compassionate community dedicated to exceptional mental health outcomes, empowering individuals with mental health conditions, and fostering personal and professional growth. The center emphasizes an employee-first approach, prioritizing team members' needs to ensure they can best serve the mission. They utilize evidence-based practices and aim to enhance community health through convenient service locations.

Requirements

  • 6+ months of experience working with or around shelter services.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Valid Colorado Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Age 21+

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct milieu, group, and individual behavioral management utilizing evidence-based practice models.
  • Facilitates and co-facilitates psychoeducational groups and family reunification meetings.
  • Monitors activities of daily living for clients and provides training as needed.
  • Documents intervention and program activity and maintains accurate and timely clinical records.
  • Assists consumers with medication administration as directed by Colorado regulations, facility policies and procedures, and physician orders.
  • Coordinates care with consumer, families, center staff, and/or external facilities.
  • Attends and participates in group sessions, in-services, meetings, and supervisory sessions.
  • Acts as a liaison and partners with consumers in the use of basic community resources, referrals, linkage, and advocacy.
  • Provides therapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services.
  • Aids in house laundry and clean-up of the facility.
  • Transports consumers to appointments.
  • Manages the milieu and ensures a safe therapeutic environment.
  • Completes admission check-ins, provides regular safety checks, and monitors clients.
  • Maintains confidentiality of consumer records.
  • Conducts rounds to ensure safety and compliance of youth in the shelter program.
