About The Position

Unison Health is seeking a full-time Behavioral Technician Assistant to join our clinical team in a clinic setting. This position provides essential administrative and clinical support under the direct supervision of a physician, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), or other licensed healthcare professional. The Behavioral Technician Assistant plays an important role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care by assisting with clinical procedures, supporting daily clinic operations, maintaining accurate documentation, and helping create a safe, welcoming, and efficient environment for clients. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and committed to providing exceptional service while working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of mental illness and the ability to establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients.
  • Must demonstrate positive attitude, commitment to provide superior services and enthusiastic support for the mission of the agency.
  • Must establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Must be able to work with ill, disabled, emotionally upset and at times hostile individuals.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs administrative duties, including but not limited to answering the phone, greeting clients, scheduling appointments as directed by the Physician or APRN.
  • Provides direct medical care services to clients in accordance with established agency and program policies, procedures, philosophy, and client needs under direct supervision of the APRN or physician.
  • Documents client/program activities according to Agency/Program policies and procedures.
  • Participates in supervision, in-service training, and conferences according to established policies and procedures and Ohio MHAS rules in order to keep abreast of agency procedures, upgrade personal knowledge, improve teamwork and service coordination.
  • Follows all Agency and Program policies and procedures.
  • Maintains Clozaril process, labs, keeps orders current, REMS.
  • Performs insurance verification and appeals as directed.
