About The Position

Child Focus is seeking dedicated early childhood professionals to serve as a Behavior Support Specialist. This role is responsible for assisting the Teacher and Assistant Teacher with challenging behaviors, using early childhood trauma-informed support and practices in the classroom. The Behavior Support Specialist works cooperatively with the Behavior Support Team, providing one-on-one classroom support to children across Clermont County. This is a seasonal, full-time position throughout the school year (August-May).

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education OR related field
  • Two years’ experience with children ages birth to five
  • Experience working with challenging behaviors
  • Providing individualized support
  • Understanding of behavior management techniques

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Teacher and Assistant Teacher with challenging behaviors
  • Using early childhood trauma-informed support and practices in the classroom
  • Working cooperatively with the Behavior Support Team
  • Providing one-on-one classroom support to children
