This position is for the 2026-2027 School Year and involves training and working with teachers and campus personnel to design, develop, and implement behavioral intervention plans and classroom management strategies for students with significant disabilities and behavioral challenges. The specialist will also train staff in nonviolent crisis intervention procedures, compile and maintain records, collaborate with parents and stakeholders, observe students in various environments, and ensure socially acceptable behaviors are taught. The role requires maintaining confidentiality, assisting with discipline management and emergency operations plans, ensuring adequate staffing, and staying current with research on behavioral interventions for students with autism spectrum disorders. Regular and reliable attendance is essential.
