About The Position

Responsible for working with program staff to develop innovative training programs for members using behavior management intervention techniques.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Human Services Field
  • Minimum two years' experience working with people with developmental disabilities or at-risk adolescents in program planning and/or behavior management
  • Pursuing MA in related field towards BCBA
  • Ability to maintain appropriate relationships with people with disabilities and at-risk adolescents utilizing normalization principles
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of CAU staff, members’ families, and within the community
  • Ability to express oneself, both in writing and verbally, in a comprehensive manner, using the English language
  • Good planning and organization skills
  • Working knowledge of computer software programs including Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to be resourceful and work independently
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
  • Ability to problem-solve
  • Ability to deliver effective presentations
  • Ability to deliver effective training programs
  • Demonstrate responsible leadership, mentoring and role-modeling
  • Access to an automobile vehicle, valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an effective working relationship with CAU staff
  • Thoroughly document all interactions with members
  • Maintain appropriate staff/member interactions
  • Cooperate with Agency, legal authorities and Department of Human Services or any part or successor thereof in any inspection or investigation
  • Follow treatment/teaching plans as per BCBA
  • Collect behavior data as required
  • Implement prescribed behavior support plans
  • Complete all graphing as designated by BCBA supervisor
  • Participate in supervision meetings as scheduled
  • Communicate any and all concerns to direct supervisor in a timely manner
  • Communicate treatment information to BCBA in a timely manner
  • Maintain a good professional relationship with guardians and members
  • Ensures compliance with all required state and federally mandated background and exclusion checks including but not limited to criminal history background investigation (fingerprinting), Central Registry, Child Abuse Record Information (CARI), drug testing, and motor vehicle checks.
  • Ensures compliance with wearing a mask when mandated by State, Federal, and Licensing authorities during a public health crisis/pandemic.
  • All other duties as assigned
