About The Position

ReGeneration is seeking an experienced full-time Behavioral Specialist to collaborate with school staff in creating a learner-centered, friendly, and safe school environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of articulating high expectations and promoting appropriate social behavior. This role involves active participation in the discipline system to de-escalate student misconduct and redirect students for success in the classroom and school community.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing a positive, orderly learning environment that engages students and maximizes on-task behavior.
  • Great verbal communication skills, time management, and organization skills, and exceptional customer service.
  • Exercise good judgment when responding to safety and security violations and emergencies.
  • Exercise dignity and respect when interacting with students at all times.
  • Develop positive rapport with school staff and students to contribute to working conditions conducive to building a professional learning community.
  • Create and follow protocols for the safe and orderly entry, dismissal, and movement of students throughout the school grounds.
  • Monitor student behavior to make informed decisions and provide effective communication.
  • Prevent trespassing, vandalism, loitering or other acts that contribute to an unsafe or disorderly environment.
  • Participate in professional development training to ensure ongoing growth.
  • Other duties as assigned.
