Behavioral Specialist II - ACCS
About The Position
Eliot is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Specialist II to join its Adult Community Clinical Service (ACCS) team. ACCS provides clinically focused, evidence-based interventions to adults with severe and persistent mental illness. Services are person-centered and delivered by a multidisciplinary team in residential or community-based settings. The Behavioral Specialist II works alongside clients to support skills development, rehabilitation practices, recovery, and the achievement of client goals. The position is scheduled Sunday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and pays $21.50 per hour.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
- Experience working with adults with mental illness.
- Valid Massachusetts driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Provide client interventions focused on problem solving, modeling behavior, optimism, and encouragement.
- Assist the team with ongoing assessments of client symptoms and responses to staff interventions.
- Support clients in their recovery and rehabilitation and help them develop their goals.
- Ensure services are culturally competent, strengths-based, rehabilitation-focused, and inclusive of client preferences.
- Assist clients with transportation to work sites, daily activities, and appointments.
- Assist with administration of prescribed medications as needed.
