About The Position

Peraton is seeking to hire a Behavioral Research Scientist with a well-established applied research program based out of Columbus, GA. This is a remote role, but includes travel up to 25%. This role will be a member of the research team, providing support across multiple projects for the U.S. Army Research Institute (ARI) and other government agencies. The successful candidate must be proactive, well-organized, dependable, and have the ability to work with minimal supervision. The position requires a high degree of professionalism, presence, flexibility, judgment, discretion, and the ability to work independently. This position is remote but includes travel up to 25%. Requirements

  • 2 years with BS/BA degree; or an MS/MA degree.
  • Experience supporting Army behavioral research projects
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • PhD in a Behavioral Science field such as Psychology or Sociology
  • Former Army field grade officer or Senior non-commissioned officer with relevant advanced degree
  • Experience with data analysis and data visualization tools/platforms: R, Python, Power Bi, Army Vantage

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research using behavioral science principles, methodologies, and technologies in an applied government setting
  • Collect field data, conduct interviews, enter data, and conduct quality assurance checks on data
  • Support the development of research results through briefings and technical reports
  • Work cooperatively with team members to ensure research products' quality, timeliness, and accuracy
  • Interface with customers and sponsors to meet their requirements, including detailed coordination
  • Brief Army personnel, observe training events, capture details of training events, and assess training outcomes
  • Work as part of a team, devise analytical approaches, develop data collection instruments, and collate data from various sources
