About The Position
MTK Healthcare Inc is seeking an experienced Behavioral Psych RN to provide comprehensive nursing care on the Geropsychiatric Unit. The RN will be responsible for assessing, monitoring, documenting, and managing the care of patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma from an accredited nursing program required
- Active New Hampshire RN License required
- BLS Certification required
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 1+ year of nursing experience preferred
- Behavioral Health / Psychiatric nursing experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive mental and physical assessments of patients
- Monitor, record, and report changes in patient conditions and behaviors
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
- Assist patients with daily activities and provide therapeutic support
- Manage therapeutic milieu activities including groups, patient education, and 1:1 interactions
- Develop and update individualized treatment plans with the multidisciplinary team
- Conduct therapeutic interventions based on patient diagnosis and needs
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare teams, and external agencies
- Complete accurate and timely documentation including admissions, assessments, progress notes, discharge paperwork, and required reports
- Ensure quality patient care by following clinical standards and regulatory requirements
