About The Position

Cortica is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-time Behavior Technician to join their team. This role involves designing and delivering life-changing care for children with neurodevelopmental differences. Cortica emphasizes careers with purpose, growth, and support, offering predictable schedules and a single, direct rate of pay. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, with guaranteed hours. Cortica utilizes a strength-based, neurodiversity-affirming ABA therapy model, combining neuroscience and developmental models to help children recognize and build on their unique abilities, fostering positive relationships and skills across various settings.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months experience in ABA
  • Experience working with children (experience with autism is a plus!)
  • Masters, bachelor’s degree, high school or equivalent
  • Willingness to obtain your BCAT credential within 90 days (we’ll help!)
  • Availability for weekday afternoons/evenings and optional Saturdays.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (within a 30-40 minute drive radius).
  • Tech-savvy with EMR systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Successful completion of a post-offer background check and a motor vehicle report review.

Responsibilities

  • Complete Cortica’s orientation and BCAT training.
  • Provide 1:1 and group behavior-analytic services to children with autism and other neurodevelopmental differences.
  • Implement positive behavior strategies developed with your BCBA.
  • Use evidence-based practices to create meaningful progress for families.
  • Document session data to track and support treatment goals.
  • Collaborate closely with families and supervisors to build supportive environments.
  • Follow Cortica's crisis protocols, including de-escalation and mandated reporting.
