Behavioral Intervention Specialist
About The Position
At The Arc Lexington, our Behavior Intervention Specialists (BIS) teach, inspire, and guide people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live their best lives through positive behavior and supportive relationships. Our BIS works closely with each person we support and their teams to assess, develop, and implement support plans, providing instruction and support tailored to address mental, emotional, and social needs. They conduct comprehensive assessments for behavioral challenges and deliver personalized training and guidance to empower the people we support and their support teams towards achieving greater independence and fulfilling their life goals. The Arc Lexington is committed to providing continual learning and professional growth opportunities to enhance our team's specialized skills.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Psychology or Social Work.
- Valid NYS driver's license that meets Agency standards.
- Use of own vehicle.
