About The Position

Provide clinical support to foster and maintain a person-centered therapeutic environment, allowing individuals with developmental disabilities to reach their maximum potential.

Requirements

• Experience working with individuals with varying degrees of intellectual/developmental disabilities a must.
• Excellent organizational/communication/writing skills.

Nice To Haves

• BCBA or Master’s Degree with OPWDD experience preferred; Bachelor's degree with ample OPWDD experience considered

Responsibilities

• Development and oversight of the Person-Centered Behavior Support Plans for a specified caseload of individuals, developed in conjunction with inclusive Functional Behavioral Assessments.
• Maintaining all behavioral data related to individuals on assigned caseload.
• Participating in all service planning meetings involving the individuals on assigned caseload, across settings.
• Acting as the liaison between day and residential programming to ensure consistency in the behavioral planning whenever possible and to ensure that goals match the needs of the individual across different settings.
• Modeling behavioral interventions.
• Providing counseling and therapeutic support to individuals on assigned caseload.
• Maintaining regular communication with and coordination of services with all service providers.
• Participating in staff and treatment team meetings and training staff on the clinical needs of the individuals on assigned caseload.
• Conducting necessary psychological evaluations and other assessments as needed.
• Completing all paperwork in a timely manner, ensuring that functional behavioral assessments, person centered behavior support plans and all other required documentation meets the requirements of standards set by OPWDD. Completing monthly notes on individual’s behavioral progress.
• Participating in appropriate committee meetings.
• Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive and protected information according to HIPAA standards.
• Conducting self in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
• Demonstrating teamwork by assuming expected role on the team and maintaining collaborative relations with other members.
• Demonstrating commitment to departmental and organizational goals.
• Assumption of other duties as assigned.
