This position works under clinical supervision and requires considerable knowledge of behavioral healthcare programs and program techniques. As a member of an interdisciplinary mental health treatment team, the provider is responsible for assigned mental health interventions for a caseload of mentally ill criminal offenders. This role involves completing screenings, risk assessments (including suicide watch when within scope), conducting individual and group clinical interventions, providing psychosocial group interventions, offering mental health liaison services, completing psychosocial needs and treatment assessments, and preparing transfer and discharge summaries. The provider will also consult with other institution staff, initiate contact with families and community agencies, provide and seek information related to patient care, make community referrals, and maintain electronic documentation of all contacts and progress notes.
