About The Position

This position works under clinical supervision and requires considerable knowledge of behavioral healthcare programs and program techniques. The role is a member of a sex offender team and is responsible for sex offender interventions for a caseload of assigned offenders. The position involves completing screenings and assessments, conducting group and sex offender interventions using evidence-based correctional program intervention strategies, writing reports, maintaining data documents, and entering documentation in an electronic health record. The role also includes completing miscellaneous forms, transfer and discharge summaries, and consulting with other institution staff regarding the sex offender caseload and inmate needs. Attendance at meetings of sex offender program supervision and in-service training/workshops for professional development is also required.

Requirements

• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) by Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board.
• OR Licensed Social Worker (LSW) by Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board.
• OR Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (MFT) by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for sex offender interventions for a caseload of assigned offenders as a member of a sex offender team.
• Completes screenings and assessments.
• Conducts group & sex offender interventions as prescribed on the individual in-program assessment using evidence based correctional program intervention strategies within their scope of practice and as directed by supervision.
• Writes reports and maintains necessary data documents to satisfy requirements of federal, state and local agencies.
• Enters documentation in electronic health record of all inmate encounters and contacts.
• Completes miscellaneous forms and reports as needed per policy and protocol.
• Completes transfer and discharge summaries.
• Consults with other institution staff regarding the sex offender caseload, inmate's institutional adjustment and service needs.
• Attends meetings of sex offender program supervision.
• Attends in-service training and workshops for professional development.
