About The Position

Provides individual and group therapy to support clients with mental and emotional health needs. Completes assessments and develops treatment plans while collaborating with the care team to monitor progress. Plays a key role in facilitating therapy groups and supporting patient education. The Behavioral Health Therapist (provisionally licensed) works with individuals, families, and groups to address and treat mental & emotional disorders, and to promote optimal mental health. BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a related field
• 2–5 years of experience
• Active LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent license
• Master's Degree - Social Services/related
• Valid Driver's License
• PLPC or PLMFT or LMSW

Responsibilities

• Provides individual, and in some cases, family therapy to active clients.
• Updates the treatment plan to reflect therapy goals.
• Collaborates with other professionals regarding client participation level, progress, and setbacks.
• Completes intakes for individuals requesting services at BJC, assessing their eligibility based on symptomology, treatment history, and current needs.
• Develops and facilitates education for clients.
• Facilitating therapy groups and supporting patient education.
• Completes assessments and develops treatment plans.
• Develops and implements therapy programs and in-service education.
