As the Behavioral Health Therapist, you will provide counseling to individuals and groups to promote optimum mental and emotional health. You will report to Behavioral Health leadership. This role involves providing assessment and stabilization for individuals experiencing mental health crises, counseling them through various issues such as addictions, family problems, depression, anxiety, trauma, and stress management. The therapist will also develop self-care plans, teach coping skills, and utilize motivational interviewing. Collaboration with primary care providers and medical staff is essential, as is referring patients for inpatient treatment and maintaining all treatment records with confidentiality and safety standards in mind. The role also serves as a liaison between medical staff, patients, relatives, and outside agencies, providing services across various hospital settings.
