As the Behavioral Health Therapist, you will provide counseling to individuals and groups to promote optimum mental and emotional health. You will report to Behavioral Health leadership. This role involves providing assessment and stabilization for individuals experiencing mental health crises, counseling them through various issues such as addictions, substance abuse, family problems, depression, anxiety, trauma, and stress management. The therapist will also develop self-care plans, teach coping skills, and utilize motivational interviewing. Collaboration with primary care providers and other medical staff is essential, as is referring patients for inpatient treatment and maintaining all treatment records. The role requires providing services in various hospital settings and acting as a liaison between medical staff, patients, relatives, and outside agencies.
