About The Position

Arlington County's Department of Human Services is seeking a Behavioral Health Therapist (Licensed) for the Arlington County Forensic Jail Diversion Team. This is a county-funded position for a restorative justice program within the Behavioral Healthcare Division. The role addresses the need to divert individuals with serious mental illness and co-occurring disorders from the criminal justice system at early stages, such as magistrate hearings, bond hearings, and court proceedings. The therapist will provide mental health treatment services to clients as part of the existing Jail Diversion/Forensic Case Management Program. This position requires movement between the court system and community mental health services, with mandatory court attendance and the ability to work across systems to facilitate restorative justice efforts.

Requirements

  • Must be a Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist.
