Responsible for providing therapy services to individuals and their families within scope of training and under the supervision of a LMHP/LIMHP as part of the multidisciplinary team. Supervised therapy services to include: completing Psychosocial Assessments, facilitating family therapy, group therapy and individual therapy as indicated. Develops, implements, and reviews treatment plans. Provides therapy services to individuals and their families across the spectrum of mental health conditions. Participates in weekly supervision with a LMHP/LIMHP to review the Intern/Student’s clinical work as guided by profession standards and Intern/Student’s participating academic program requirements. All activities of the Behavioral Health Therapist Intern/Student shall be under supervision of a LMHP/LIMHP and physician Medical Director of Psychiatry in accordance with State and Federal standards and Medical Staff Bylaws pertaining to Advanced Practice Providers. Obtains and maintains a Scope of Practice /Collaborative Practice Agreement with a state licensed physician on active medical staff at Methodist Fremont Health. The expectation is that upon completion of internship and coursework the employee would fulfill privilege requirements as noted in the Methodist Fremont Health Delineation of Privileges for Allied Health Professional Licensed Mental Health Practitioner.
