Behavioral Health Technician
About The Position
Indiana University Health at Riley Hospital is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to support patient safety and care under the supervision of the professional behavioral health team. This role involves providing basic care, monitoring patient safety, and assisting with group therapy activities to ensure a secure and therapeutic environment. The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for providing basic care and ensuring the safety and security of patients, making trained observations and reporting to the mental health team or designated staff members, attending and participating in group therapy sessions, admitting, transferring, and discharging patients as assigned, and performing basic triage duties as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
- Strong observational skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
Nice To Haves
- Associates Degree preferred
- 1-3 years of relevant healthcare or behavioral health experience preferred
Responsibilities
