About The Position

Ascension St. Vincent Stress Center in Indianapolis, IN is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician for their Adolescent Psychiatry department. This full-time, day shift position involves providing direct behavioral health patient care, assisting patients with daily living activities, and performing diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions. The role requires observing and recording patient behavior, reporting changes in condition, and establishing therapeutic relationships.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention preferred.
• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct behavioral health patient care.
• Assist patients with performing activities of daily living.
• Provide or assist with providing direct patient care, diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions.
• Observe and record patient behavior and activities. Report any changes in condition and suggest modifications to the treatment plan.
• Establish a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients.
