Behavioral Health Technician (1st Shift)

Silvermist Recovery, a Pyramid Healthcare program in Renfrew, PA, is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our 1st Shift team. As a BHT, you’ll play an important role in supporting clients throughout their residential treatment experience. You’ll help maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment while encouraging clients as they work toward stability and lasting recovery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
- CPR, AED, and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in crisis situations
- Professionalism, reliability, and a genuine desire to help others
Nice To Haves
- Previous behavioral health, healthcare, residential treatment, or related experience preferred
- Familiarity with behavioral health standards and compliance requirements is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist with the intake and admission process for new clients
- Monitor and document client behaviors, activities, and progress
- Observe and document client self-administration of medications, as applicable
- Provide client transportation and supervise clients during travel
- Coordinate and oversee daily client activities and programming
- Support individualized treatment goals and care plans
- Respond appropriately to client needs and assist with crisis intervention when necessary
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly treatment environment
- Assist with meals and accommodate client dietary needs
- Establish and maintain appropriate therapeutic boundaries
- Follow all staff policies, procedures, and ethical standards
- Complete required training and participate in ongoing professional development
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the program and clients
